Tigers Win 3rd Straight with Big Road Victory in Atlanta

The NC Tigers have cruised to their 3rd straight victory and 2nd road win of the season after a strong side traveled down to Atlanta, GA to take on the Kookaburras. The Tigers’ side kicked the first 3 goals of the game to take a lead they would never relinquish, controlling the game from start to finish in a performance highlighted by the strong contributions of rookies and new players. The road win completes a 2-0 sweep of the Kookaburras this season for the Carolina side who move to 3-2 on the season. The yellow and black will be back in action at home on Saturday Sept 26 when they play host to the Baltimore-Washington Eagles at Fleming Loop recreational Park in Fuquay Varina.

Tigers Earn Big Road Win Over Eagles

The NC Tigers traveled up to Washington DC on Saturday to take on their long time rivals the Baltimore-Washington Eagles on a hot, humid day in the nation’s capital. In a tightly contested affair from start to finish, the yellow and black were able to run out the game stronger than their opponents, dominating the 4th quarter to pick up a memorable road win. The gutsy away win over a division 2 side is sure to turn some heads, and will act as the perfect launching pad for the second half of the Tigers’ season. Read More »

Kookaburras travel north on I-85 to take on the North Carolina Tigers

The NC Tigers and Atlanta Kookaburras met in Fuquay-Varina for another chapter in our storied rivalry. Unfortunately, the Kookaburras were a little short-handed on this road trip. A couple of Tigers volunteered to pull on the green and gold for Atlanta so that we could have a 14-a-side match in the North Carolina heat.

East Regional Wrap Up

The NC Tigers opened their 2015 campaign in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this past weekend at the USAFL Eastern Regional 18s tournament.

With a strong side traveling down for the tournament and to enjoy the Florida sun, the Tigers were looking to start the season off strong against some of the toughest competition in the Eastern USAFL. With the late withdrawal of the St Petersburg side, the event was contested between 3 sides with Tigers taking on the #1 ranked New York Magpies as well as the host Fort Flauderdale Squids. The tournament was held at the beautiful Central Broward Park Stadium, providing a superb location for the event. Read More »

2015 AFL Season Kick off

Hey Guys and Gals, this weekend is the official start of the AFL season and we have decided to throw a social (not to be confused with going postal) at Patrick-Janes this Saturday April 4, between 4-7pm.

We will watch a replay of the Essendon vs Sydney Swans match (Nick-o will be excited by that choice). If you recall we were at Patrick-Janes for the Australia Day Celebration and all had a great time and PJs is very family friendly, not to mention great pizza!

2015 Eastern Regional Tournament

The tournament is to be held on Saturday April 18th at one of the most stunning venues we will ever have the opportunity to play on (See picture below).

Australia Day is every January 26 and the NC Tigers are celebrating early this year at Patrick Jane’s Pizza in Cary, NC

Members of the NC Tigers 2014 USAFL Division 4 Championship team will be in attendance; signing autographs and posing for photos with the Premiership Cup –and you!
The club is also looking for new recruits to help defend their title.
